Nalorakk Strategy — Zul'Aman

Phase 4 · Zul'Aman · 2 tanks, 3 healers, rest dps

The Bear Avatar and the first timed-chest boss. Nalorakk shifts between troll form (Brutal Swipe cleave, Mangle tank-swap) and bear form (Lacerating Slash bleed, Surge — a charge at a random player). Reached after a gauntlet of Amani'shi trash that pressures the timed bear-mount run.

Fight phases

  1. 1

    Troll form

Tank Nalorakk with the melee behind him; swap tanks on Mangle stacks and avoid Brutal Swipe cleave to the front.

  2. 2

    Bear form

He shifts to bear: heavy Lacerating Slash bleed on the tank and Surge, a charge that hits whoever it lands on hard. Keep the raid out of the charge path.

By role

Tanks

Tank-swap on Mangle (a stacking debuff that amplifies damage taken). In bear form the Lacerating Slash bleed is brutal — swap or cooldown through it. Keep him faced away for Brutal Swipe.

Healers

Bear form hits far harder than troll form — pre-heal the swaps and the bleed. Surge can spike a random player; keep the raid topped. A short but sharp tank-damage fight.

DPS

Stay behind him in troll form to dodge Brutal Swipe. Watch for Surge (the charge) and don't stand where it lands. Burn through the form shifts — the timer for the bear mounts is ticking.

Common mistakes

  • Missing the tank swap on Mangle.
  • Standing in front for Brutal Swipe or in the path of Surge.
