Akil'zon Strategy — Zul'Aman

Phase 4 · Zul'Aman · 1-2 tanks, 3 healers, rest dps

The Eagle boss, a fight built around one big raid-stack mechanic. Akil'zon casts Electrical Storm — lifting a random player into a cyclone while the rest of the raid must stack tightly under them to share the storm's damage. Mishandle the stack and the raid dies.

Fight phases

  1. 1

    Single phase

Tank Akil'zon; manage Static Disruption (a chaining shock — stay spread normally) but on Electrical Storm the whole raid instantly stacks under the lifted player to split the AoE, then spreads again. Kill the Soaring Eagle adds.

By role

Tanks

Simple threat hold. Your job during Electrical Storm is the same as everyone's — get into the stack. Pick up the Soaring Eagles if they path to the healers.

Healers

Electrical Storm is the whole fight: if the raid stacks correctly the damage is survivable, if not it's a wipe. The lifted player takes damage in the cyclone — keep them alive. Static Disruption chains between close players outside the storm.

DPS

Spread for Static Disruption, but the instant Electrical Storm casts, collapse onto the marked spot under the lifted player. Kill Soaring Eagle adds fast. Precision on the stack timing is everything.

Common mistakes

  • Not stacking tightly enough on Electrical Storm — the raid takes lethal unsplit damage.
  • Standing too close during normal phases and chaining Static Disruption.
