4 comps
LSD (Lock / Shaman / Druid)
A control-attrition comp that got stronger as TBC went on. Elemental Shaman utility + double Fear + Cyclone create relentless control while DoTs grind the enemy out. Wins the long game against almost anyone.
RLD (Rogue / Lock / Druid)
RLD is the patient control comp: a Subtlety Rogue dictating tempo, an Affliction Warlock rotting both targets while draining their mana, and a Resto Druid who simply refuses to die. You don't need a 3-second kill — you need one clean Blind-and-Cyclone chain on their healer while the DoTs and drains have already put the enemy team into triage.
Shadowplay / Drain (Shadow Priest / Lock / Shaman)
Shadowplay is the definitive TBC attrition comp: a Shadow Priest and Affliction Warlock blanket all three enemies in DoTs while Mana Burn bleeds the healer white, and a Resto Shaman makes the trio nearly unkillable. You don't burst anyone down — you fear, drain, and rot until the enemy healer is out of mana and the whole team collapses at once.
Warlock / Resto Druid
The definitive sustain team of Season 2: an SL/SL Affliction Warlock and a Resto Druid who simply refuse to die. You don't burst anyone down — you blanket the enemy in rot, chain-Fear their healer into oblivion, and win the mana game every single time.
